I am a volunteer, and I have seen the Lord provide for people in great need. We know the Lord loves us, and to see His love in action is so encouraging. This ministry is truly about people helping people or being a vessel for the Lord. The Lord has personally helped me to love people more and not just do a work.
Families Helping Families had God's timing in helping our family during financial despair due to underemployment and unemployment. Money was needed for bank fees, utility bills, food, gas, and much needed car repairs. We were so depressed.
Then a friend at WACC told us about the FHF ministry. It was a miracle! They gave (not loaned) us money to take care of all our needs. They continued to help us spiritually, financially, with such care and love. Thank you FHF! You have my Heart!!!!!!! I am very thankful for all the help of those who have helped my daughter and I. The gift cards and donations have been a blessing to our lives from the ministry of “Families Helping Families”. We truly appreciate all your help and may God continue to bless this ministry.
This ministry has helped us bridge the gap between my income, my husband’s unemployment benefits and our daily needs. Even though we have cut back on everything possible there is just not enough money left at the end of the month for our daily needs not to mention anything unexpected and there is always something unexpected. We have received help with, gas, groceries, car repairs, tuition expenses and much more. We were also able to let our daughter play high school tennis. We would not have been able to afford the tennis camp or the uniform without this ministry. Although it would not have been the end of the world if she didn’t play a sport, it was a blessing to have a sense of normalcy during this stressful time. Most importantly we have felt loved and supported during this time. We know it is just a season and we are looking forward to being on the giving end of this ministry soon. This has been a humbling time in our lives and God will continue to use these experiences to bless others. Blessed by FHF in Jesus name.

I have known of the Families Helping Families Ministry for several years now; and have witnessed the IMPACT it has in the lives of not just those on the receiving end but also those giving. There are some very generous people that contribute valuable items in exchange for joy. The joy one feels when they give unconditionally. Some of these givers are not WACC members though they sense the urgency to fill the need and support this important community cause. I also get that warm & fuzzy feeling inside after volunteering my time to assist in whatever capacity Jack & Barbara ask. -Jim Maher
Dear Families Helping Families, You've been a tremendous help as our family has had to deal with the loss of my job/career of 30-plus years! The last 3 years has been a devastating experience for our family, but FHF has been there to help. From providing money to buy computer applications to help me "reinvent" my job to providing meals when things were tight. From supporting my son's Eagle Scout Project to Gift Cards to brighten a very "lean" Christmas. You have been a Blessing to us.
